My career in education spans four decades. My perspective is that of both teacher and teacher advocate. I had a full career as a teacher in the Boston area; served as president of a 70,000 member teacher’s union, and most recently served as Director of Policy and Professional Practice for the Connecticut Education Association. I recently retired from full time employment.

Bob you did an excellent job in compiling all your information. I am in school now working on a bachelor degree in early childhood education. In my political science class, I am writing a paper on NO Child Left Behind and our presidential candidates’ platform on education. Much of the views you expressed are shared with teachers and administrators in the Denver Colorado area. Thanks, Iris
