Gov. Palin Departs from Script and McCain on Education

October 3, 2008 · Leave a Comment

It was disappointing that Gwen Eiffel did not see fit to ask about education. We did get a few insights in spite of that although on Sarah Palin’s part they were indeed puzzling . Gov. Palin rarely departed from her script, but quite shockingly she exposed a different – dramatically different – take than either John McCain or the Republican Party Platform when speaking on education.

You can see the clip here.

Joe Biden, in a brief response, took the opportunity to assure us that education would remain a top strategic priority for an Obama/Biden administration in spite of the current economic crisis. As a presidential candidate, Senator Biden took a harder line on NCLB, but short of this his views of what needs to be done are very consistent with the Obama plan.

You can see Senator Biden speaking on education in an interview with the Des Moines Register when he was still a presidential candidate here.
